Hi
i have a 1810 year Portugal 400 Reis coin and I’m not sure if it’s real or fake. Can some one smarter give some opinion. Weight 13.94g, diameter 35/36 mm.

Fake
Does not look 216 years old
Does not look like silver - more that grey metal fakes are made from
Lowest letter T is mis-aligned - and squeezed in
The shield on a genuine coin points to the R and not at the T letter
The date on a genuine coin almost touches the shield, not further away and smaller
The lower left and right castles should be in the corner, not higher up
The band around the crown should have a row of oval shapes, not oval line oval line …
and so on …
Genuine Fake
However, wait to see what other members think ...
I own a few of these but am by no means an expert. The thing that stands out right away is the the font of the 400 and 1810, especially the 0s.
Thank you all for the comment. I sent it back to the seller.
Also this date range should be around 15+ grams. Your diameter seems fine, but is light, so likely not the full 91.67% silver. Are you able to test it? Start with a magnet, and maybe do a specific density test. If you can show it's not silver, then the vendor would not be able to argue that it's not a fake.
It did pass the magnet test but all the other issues were good proof and vendor is was ok with giving me my money back.
Not to pile on, but the 8's don't look right either. One is a criss-cross style, the other looks like two smooshed 0's.
Many Chinese fakes tell on themselves by the looks of the edge (i.e. too sharp/flat or reeding is wrong). This edge would require considerable effort to fake. This was most likely struck on a screw press, unsure of how many dies were made and the variations involved. It might require an expert in hand to make a determination or a grading service.
