I am curious to know what there is on the head of Queen Juliana on many Dutch coins
for example in this one

Is it a hat? or she has the hair dressed using ribbons and jewels?
Can only one provide the picture or painting from which the drawing has been originated?

It is a 'hair net piece, decorative' ...

Elsewhere I read it was real and not an artists creation, and was a diamond hair net. Juliana sat for the portrait Prof. Wenkebach made for the coins; shortly after which the hair net disappeared - probably sold by husband, prince Bernhard, who was a notable philanderer. Juliana made sure he was always short of money. The net was easy to disassemble and the diamonds would have given him some financial freedom.

Also I read ...
The hairnet wasn't a question of comfort, but of royal policy. Wilhelmina insisted on pomp and circumstance. Juliana wanted to be as "normal" as she could get. Wilhelmina liked the idea of crowns, Juliana would have preferred not to wear a crown. The hairnet was a mother-daughter compromise.
