Comores 1964 FDC vs Paris mint? [解決]

6 posts • 177回閲覧
Hello!
I see 2 variants of Comores 1964 coins(non essai) in numista catalog
1)FDC Sets (KM#SS1; issued with Reunion Set)
2)Monnaie de Paris mint (owl)
Is there any difference between them?

For example Reunion 1964 set don't has its own entry.
Hi,

welcome to numista, I hope you'll enjoy the site.

If you don't mind too much, the give us the link to the coin (in this case 2) you refer to, it's making life so much easier for the people, who wants to help you;) Of course the measurements help a lot as well (weight, diameter, thickness, orientation and alloy):°

There are all measurements too.
The FDC coins in the sets are identical to the business strikes, except that the planchets were selected and polished prior to minting. If they are removed from the sealed sets and handled for a time, no difference could be detected.

Thanks!
Many coins available in FDS sets.
Why t 2 variants of Comores 1964 mentioned in numista catalog, unlike many other coins with fdc sets? It seems some kind of mistake then.

It is a question for the catalogue referee.
True, It is not a variant , but it was a separate issue for the issuer, so a catalogue would be remis to omit it.
What I said still applies- if it is sealed in plastic in issued set it is distinct from the circulated coins.
this applies also to all other Paris FDC issues.
