How can a coin be both a contemporary piece and a modern copy?

Could the words modern copy be removed?

​In a way I think there should be a gallery of members counterfeit coins, but how to organize it is a different question. All the counterfeits I have laying around are measured and documented, and I've shown them several times on numista, but I'm sure I would NOT be able to find them on Numista again....

So I think your question is very valid, and we might need a structured (country, denomination, documentation) place to put them. Let the referees think about that, after all they're NOT paid for that

Under Tokens we also have some currencies for Reproductions or copies. I don't think its bad to list them as it can also have its educational purposes.
However maybe possible in the future but they should be listed entirely seperate as they are neither tokens nor medals.
