Gibraltar 1 penny / Belgian 2 cents

Hi,

I have a coin that has the reverse of this coin:

But the obverse of this:

It's dated 2010. Can anyone explain this?!

I also have a Belgian coin that appears to be this one:

Except that it seems to be dated 1868.

I'm mystified!
the belgium coin is an trial strike

trial strike with 2 different countries??? B.

Do you know why they would issue a trial strike with a year that comes AFTER the minting range?

Would that help? The pictures are already online.
Further to this Gibraltar problem, I notice that the 3rd portrait is used on e.g. these two coins:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7263.html
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5113.html

These are dated 2004, and 2005-10 respectively. So why did they go from the 4th portrait (started in 1998) back to the 3rd? Whatever the reason, it makes my supposed hybrid coin more likely to be a real edition, surely?

Just found this very old topic by hazard… the coin mentioned in first post is N#35055

It's standard 1 penny coin issued in 2010-2011. This was quite usual for Gibraltar to reuse the same coin design for later issues.

The obverse is new variant of Raphael David Maklouf portrait, it was used exclusivly by Tower Mint which won the contract for Gibraltar coin production from 2004. Mr Maklouf is one of the co-owner of Tower Mint, so it's seems reasonable that this Mint use his own obverse design.
