'William II Koning der Netherlands, Token/Medallion'
Edit: I already have a 1 Pfennig and a 10 Pfennig from Danzig, but I did not
have a 5 Pfennig, so I got that addition above. Then just now saw a bargain
'buy-it-now' offer for another coin, and knowing they are not cheap I also got this ...
'1932 | Danzig 5 Pfennig'
Oh, and I do not usually collect stamps, but this week received these nice ones on packages ...
1) Ruanda-Urundi,1952 5 francs, Great toning
2) Haiti 25 Centimes, AN17-1817
3)United States 1783 or 85 Nova Constellatio Copper, very hard to find (Still researching it}
4) Liberia, 1906 50 cents, only 24,000 minted.
5) Portuguese India 1912 Rupia.
I think the Numista page for that particular jeton has something wrong with it; Louis XV would not be born until 1710, and not be king until 1715.....

'Harz: Rechenpfennig o.J. Bergbau' [ohne Jahr = undated]
RESPONDENT INTIMA QUANTO // QVIESCAM ET QVIESCERE FACIAM
'Grossbritannien Medaille o.J. Segelschiff Walles'
The last two I got from the same seller in Germany, so saving postage; furthermore
the last item is part of a series, and recently I got one from it already > https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces152182.html
Here's a set of Russian "stamp banknotes" from 1915-17 that I just got from a swap:
They're not valuable or anything, but just pretty cool, issued when the Russian Empire was in the midst of its final war, against the Central Powers; I'm trying to decide whether to store them in plastic sleeves or in a philatelic stockbook at the moment.
Got a bunch of awesome new stuff during the last weeks:
First a 1 Sechsling 1850 from my sweet home Schleswig-Holstein. This is one got minted during the Schleswig-Holsteinian rebellion against Danmark and is one of the only 2 types of coins minted by an independent Schleswig-Holstein.
Also I finally got a russian Tsar for my royal collection on this a bit damaged 1896 Rouble!
Then this nice 2 Korona from Hungary:
And at last a bunch of coins mostly new countries/issuers for my collection:
Africa:
Asia and Pacific Island States:
South and central America
引用する: "alfonz"Then this nice 2 Korona from Hungary:
Coincidence, but the day you posted that I received the exact same coin!
As well as three other nice Hungarian silvers for my type collection:
This one commemorates the millennium of the arrival of the Magyars in Hungary, with a rather striking reverse that probably inspired the Prussian 1913 commemoratives. Cleaned probably, but I've been looking for this type for some time.
Only 3 silver types and 3 non-silver types left for my non-gold Hungarian type collection (Korona and Pengő coins only)!
In the process of moving the grandparents into a nursing home a stash of old coins was found. Being the coin collector I got dibs. Inside was a bunch of wheaties, indian heads, silver, a booker half dollar, a bunch of rolls of uncirculated cents and nickels from the 60’s and more.
Yesterday I got a lot that had circulating coins from Russia and Ukraine and a 1949 kopek.
Today I bought https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces101303.html . Its not a very "appreciated" coin as nobody else on numista has it or any of the other West Caicos coins. I will post a picture when it arrives.
I now have eight of them. In spite of what Pridmore says, the value was not doubled to 2¢ with the countermark, but just raised to 1¼¢, i.e. half a stampee. A silver 5¢ (actually mostly the French 25 centimes) cut in half was a stampee, i.e. 2½¢.
It took forever to arrive. It's certainly because of the rotating strikes at Canada Post. I just heard on the news that eBay is putting pressure on the Federal Government to do something about it.
Got a nice 1 Drachme from 1911 for having all portrait types of King Georg I now, and a little lot of spanish coppers mainly for getting some more aged portraits of King Alfonso XIII:
Two lovely wartime French banknotes arrived today, got the two of them for under 25 euro, so I'm feeling lucky:
ND (1943) France 100 Francs Trésor
This issue was printed in London, by Thomas de la Rue's on order from the Caisse Centrale de la France Libre, the de facto Treasury of de Gaulle's Free France. This new 100F issue with "Republique Française" was specially ordered for Free French forces to use after the liberation of Corsica in 1943 and replaced the regular Banque de France issues uniquely on the island until 1946.
ND (1945) France 500 Francs Trésor
Another issue by the Treasury (as the Caisse Centrale was renamed after the first soil of Metropolitan France was liberated), these notes were quickly put into circulation in post-Liberation France to prevent the Allies' AMGOT currency (which de Gaulle detested) from circulating widely, which is why the higher denomination (500F<) AMGOT notes are nowadays so rare. They were withdrawn in 1946 in favour of resuming the use of regular pre-war Banque de France notes.
I decided to get back into banknotes, currently only on Russian issues. Included are some Bukharan, Khorezmian, and an almost complete set of Transcaspian notes. To keep this coin related, also included is a 1/4 altin of Mahmud II.
引用する: "Mr. Midnight"A nice little lot of Ottoman empire coinage.
still learning about the mintmarks other details. I think all of these have KM listings in "Turkey"
They all bear 'Qustantiniya' (Constantinople) on them, but it took some time for me to learn this pattern :)
Where do I start! I bought a bag of five of the new uncirculated 100 years of armistice $2 along with two more Australian threepences at my local coin fair.
I have recently started noodling! Yes I know it is a horrible term, but
for those who don't know
it means when someone goes to the bank and withdraws X amount of coins and search through through them for commeratives or dates. So I have found several $1 and $2 coins that I have been needing in my collection.
Just this evening I have also made another box to put all the coins I received from the foreign currency exchange yesterday when I asked them if they had any spare coins I could have.
I think this is the best find due to being 0.500 silver.
I found these in the bag and I think they are my new favourite design.
I don't usually post here when I get a lot of (relatively) low value coins, but since I haven't made a big numismatic purchase recently, I was really happy to get a hold of all these coins from a swap with another, brilliant French member:
Best ones are in the top rows.
My definite favourite is the contemporary counterfeit of the Livonian solidus from Riga; the Vietnamese coin issued under Ho Chi Minh's provisional communist regime in 1946 and the Swiss silver are also highlights.

pity I can’t really make out anything even in the enlarged picture. All just a blur

Might want to update/change your browser, it looks OK on my end.
I also just received this set of Chinese banknotes (except the 50); they're not actually "banknotes" per se but rather gold customs units, a separate currency for customs payments that remained backed by hard metal even after China went off the gold standard in 1935; but during hyperinflation in the 1940s and WWII, they began circulating as normal notes until 1948.
Not rare or anything but I really like the vertical format!

Not sure whats better than google chrome lol. If you can see the details of your apparently top coins (literally and figuratively), given that the photo was taken from a distance and they are half hidden by the second row anyways, then i tip my hat to you rofl

Nevermind then, I thought you meant that the entire picture was a blur for you.
Here's a closeup of the top one (figuratively) of the lot, a Livonian coin I posted yesterday on the ID forum:
It's very offstruck, as well as being actually a contemporary forgery made in Suceava, hence the coppery appereance and the inverted letter "N". That makes it my first confirmed faux d'époque!
