French mandate era Syria and Lebanon engraver attribution

6 posts
this Syria piece https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2712.html
has engraver listed as Patey
This Lebanon piece https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2312.html
is attributed to Bazor.
they look the same to me. which is right?
I know the two artists were close associates.
So what am I missing? what is the reference for the attributions?

Hello,

I cannot be 100% sure as there are no initials or anything on the design, and it is a relatively simple one; however I think the Lebanon piece should be attributed to Patey; that is whom all the other mandate era Lebanese coins are attributed to. I think this might have been a mistake.
I will have a look, thank you

Actually it's both

the 1st date of both coins were by Patey (torch), later dates by Bazor (wing), so should be both
I've updated both sheets to have both engravers listed

thanks :)
