25th June: Brazil

1889 Brazil 2000 Réis - Pedro II
1922 Centennial coins, 500 and 1000 Reis

There is a separate KM# for a rare variety of both of these, where BRASIL is spelled as BBASIL. i would like to have those in my collection as well.

Brazil -- 2000 reis, 1865:

No idea why I’m putting them up, but here are some common Brazilian coins, unlike the special beautiful ones of the three posters before me.

My only coin from Brazil, and I forgot about Botswana, but it's still the 24th here so I'm posting both

When I first got a hold of those coins I thought they were tokens... the dimensions were so token-like, and the design was simply so cluttered I couldn't imagine it otherwise!

Anyway, to add to your set, here's my silver 2000 Réis for Brazil's 1922 Independence centenary:

Some early republican silvers!

28th June: British Indian Ocean Territory

Not anything to do with the faraway British Indian Ocean Territory (or BIOT), but today happens to also be the 104th anniversary of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo.

30th June: Tortola
Starting the next day earlier because no-one probably has Tortola....

1st July: British West Africa
I just passed on the chance to buy some of the bigger, earlier silver George V BWA coins... oh well, they were over priced anyway.

1944 British West Africa 1 Penny - George VI
Not rare, but it has such superb lustre that I simply had to include it here.

1916 H British West Africa 3 Pence - George V

Krause marks it as "rare", ditto with the Numista page; though with 820.000 mintage I hardly see why....

1938 British West Africa 2 Shillings - George VI

I wonder if 1945 H 3 pence is harder to find than 1957 one.

I own this one, but I really do not have an idea how to show it here.

Both are for sale on eBay for the moment:
3 pence 1945 H for 125 USD (https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/253583233208?clk_rvr_id=1583652600281&vectorid=229522&lgeo=1&item=253583233208&rmvSB=true)
3 pence 1957H for 875 USD (https://www.befr.ebay.be/itm/152888234347?clk_rvr_id=1583157194258&vectorid=229522&lgeo=1&item=152888234347&rmvSB=true)
So I would think the 1945H is easier to find.

They made both aluminum and copper-nickel in 1908, mine's the copper-nickel

I have one modern coin from Brunei, but I had really hoped to get one of the 1887 cents before we reached it here.. As a type collector of old coins that one issue is all I need from Brunei.
