Ever since I began my modern Italian type collection a few months back I've been captivated at the higher denomination Vittorio Emmanuele III commemoratives from the fascist era; some of them I was lucky enough to have the chance to handle while on holiday in Rome back in Christmas, but the price tag I will likely not be able to afford these for some time (at least in the near future with my budget).
These coins I'm talking about are all non-circulatory pieces, sometimes not really 'commemorative' but certainly minted in low numbers with collectors in mind.... perhaps the fact that VE III was a numismatist & collector himself contributed?
Really nice coins but all quite expensive, well you can get the 3rd and the 4th coins quite easy and not so expensive.
this two are on my wish list maybe i will get one of them this year:
Currently I want to buy, thaler of Rudolf II, exactly same type as in the picture. There will be numismatic auction soon, so I hope there will be at least one piece :)

Lots of love for Giuseppe Romagnoli's artwork around here I see.
His Italian/Albanian/Italian colonial designs lasted from the 1920s to the 1960s, and are on some of the best Italian coins (of VE III) that I've ever seen.

Goddamn your far future goal is hardcore!
One of every classical type issued by those civilisations? (Unless you just mean one coin from each)

One of every is middle future, for the far future - if I have time - one of each type. If I don't, I will just go for one for each era Very hardcore indeed.
I only have the 10 centesimi and 2 lire of the 1861-1911 set; although I did handle the 5 Lire in Rome, it would have set me back 900€.
Yes 5 lira in XF is around 1.000€ , 50 lira abit more. I dont have non for now, but i am trying too collect XF or better for VE III all years and its not cheap.

引用する: "Choucas"There are expensive coins (for me, it's >USD60) I think i might be able to get in the following years (like in the 5 next years). Basically most of the roman coins I'm looking for. But there are obviously coins that will need so much longer.... For instance :

https://fr.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17058.html (especially this one, lol)
But i still have got time...
The bronze and silver Hyderabad issues I'm also a fan of, I have some in my collection too...
Fun Fact; The Nizam of Hyderabad in whose name some of those coins were struck was rumoured to be the richest man in the world in the 1930s.
