I'm referring to the bit that says "5 Centimes // 0.05 DZD = 0.00042 GBP "
I'm not so bothered about the currency conversion (ie "= X GBP"), but I do find the "DZD" etc bit a useful way of finding out what currency system each coin is part of, so it can be frustrating when it doesn't appear. If you go to "Modify data", the correct currency system is always already selected in the list, so why doesn't it appear?
There is a preselected currency value. For older currencies, there was no ISO 4217 so that means that the value can't be given. You may notice on provisional coins that instead of the currency the state's name is given in paranthesis.

I guess that makes sense. I wonder if it would be possible to give some information for those currencies that don't have a code, then? The data is there, as I say, so it would presumably be relatively easy to make (some of) it show on the coin pages?
Companies use the three letters on their invoices these days (since the 70's) to indicate which currency they are using. So within each country they are of no use, just when trading abroad.
The three letters are made of the first two letters of the web page for that country e.g. Brazil uses .br, then the third letter marks the currency. Some countries like Brazil have used a few different groups e.g. BRL BRB BRC BRE BRN BRR
So if a currency is before the 70's (approximately) then there are no three letters; such as India-British.
Your two Algerian examples must be as one was older than the other - and before and after the codes were introduced.
Yes, I understand about the ISO code, as explained above. I'm simply wondering whether there is something else that can be displayed in those cases where there isn't one, such as the full name of the currency (in the Algerian case, it might be "[20] Algeria - Franc", or perhaps just "[20] Franc[s]". [] = optional
More details about the currency were available when pointing the ISO 4217 code with your mouse. I've just extended this function. The name, dates and country of the currency now show up on every coin sheet when hovering the facial value with your pointer.
Further to this, would it be possible to include some of this information in the "Your coins" section? At the moment, within each country, it splits up the coins into the separate currencies (eg Algeria does Francs and then Dinars). Could these each be labelled with the relevant currency name?
