Anyone offering help here?
It is about coins like
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces2297.html
I really can't find any difference in my 1993 fine lettering and the new 2009 I got.
What is the difference between fine and bold lettering? Even on the internet most sources
including worldcoingallery.com offer images for KM#111.1 and KM#111.2 that look the same.
I understand you doubt I had the same. I managed to get a Argentina 110 (fine lettering) and a 110a (bold lettering). I have to say the difference exists and is very noticeable. I wish I had the same KM# with both letterings...

To make this more clear, I made this picture:

I hope that this brings some help to you.
Then what is the difference between these two? and are they "fine lettering" issues or "bold lettering"?

Another one

The amount of mintmarks is increasing. There are issues reported with "J" and "E" mark,
but might be that these reports base on worn coins with hard-to-read mint letters.
BTW: it is really hard to identify mint letters in these points and I cannot find any information on the
internet concerning all coins after 1995 (the 2006- issues). I could identify a 2010B among my coins, however no chance to spot a letter on my 2006 coin - could be a "B" but cannot verify this.
2009 even seems to be distributed with letter "D" for Mexico.
I will check with some Argentinians. These coins are really pocket change, so they might know what is the difference.

I see a difference in the width of the gap between the 5 and the 0, and between each of the beads around the rim.

They are both the fine lettering version - I have a 1992 (shown below) which according to the link you gave is only available in fine (and your two look like mine). Also it looks like the fine version of those two in the picture in the first reply. In the start of the topic you said you had a 1993 coin, though in your later picture it is 1994 date. I reckon an extra line needs adding for 2009 as you have the fine lettering version.

That's what I think, too. Thanks.
I will add that line. However I think lots of users already added their "fine lettering" coin under
the "bold lettering" since it was the only available and no opportunity to compare coins at hand.
These Argentinian coin varieties are somewhat getting on my nerves. See other post about mint letters.
Even the Reserve Bank of Argentina doesn't offer any help here.

And: nice hinting the difference in spacing of letters and beads - maybe we have another undocumented
variety here? I might even count those beads on the images now.
96 beads for the first coin
72 beads for the second coin
 :wiz:

you were right about that cerulean

I also noted different reeding types. the 1994 has fine reeding (more reeds - I won't like to count them)
while the 2009 issue has actually less reeds and more coarse reeding

I added information to comments of KM#111.1 for 1994 and 2009.
I hope other users might check their coins are report in
You can see my answer (in French) here:

If it is not clear, I will ask to modify the catalog to be more accurate.

I think that's all, Folks?
