Identification request for token '5' 'Alteburg Scheveningen'

Dear Numista members,

For context: someone's grandfather passed away recently, and his small collection of coins and tokens was given to me.

(Hence why there's two posts requesting help, albeit for different tokens.).

Whilst I can understand that the back says ‘Alteburg - Scheveningen’, I can't seem to find any reference for this token.

I suppose that my question is: What is this? 😅

That said, the inclusion of a ‘5’ in the design makes me wonder what this token might've been used for. I would assume that a token for a coffee machine or a parking machine wouldn't need a numeral, so it has me curious.

A coffee machine or a parking meter would be anachronistic for a token issued at the beginning of the 20th century.

This type of token is classified as a "business token." It is a mixture of change tokens (from a time when small change barely circulated) and advertising tokens. It is also possible that this type of seaside establishment had a small games room in the back, using gaming tokens.

I must confess that I feel slightly silly, for completely reading over the dates listed below the images from the link posted earlier. 

Again, you're a diamond, because I know f*** all about this kind of thing and it's always interesting to learn more.

This kind of tokens were used by waiters in big restaurants and cafe's in the early 20th century.
Also a 15, 25 and a 100 denomination of this ‘Alte Burg- Scheveningen’ token excists.
The 100 is made of copper-nickel, the others are all brass.
It is in the wellknown Kooij-catalogue under number: CC 001a.3
