I have a coin like yours, but instead of 2 dolphins it has a bird.

Could anyone tell me if a Teus RR Stater, RRR Crude Style, 500 B.C. could be possible with a flying bird on the face?

I have this silver coin inherited from my Father's collection that he acquired in the 1960-70s from auction.

Much appreciated

Provide images of both sides of your item (cropped images, just the item), and size and weight as close as you can measure. Then forum readers will be able to give you information about what you have.

I am hoping to get some comments about this coin.  My Father got it on auction back in the 1960-70s (it has remained in it's protective sleeve since then).  The size is approximately 20 mm in diameter and 4 mm in depth.  It does not react to a magnet.  The weight is 11.38 grams.

Thank you in advance on any information you may provide.

Hello — It's from Teos. The flip rightly says “crude style” but I don't rule out an ancient or modern imitation. It seems to be a crude example of this coin in the catalogue:

The weight and diameter are quite similar.
