Its about halfway through April, so I decided to take things into my own hands.

Thanks for starting the thread. Does it also count if I got a circulating coin in the national bank?  I mean, such coin would enter circulation sooner or later anyway I think.

Yes they would enter circulation at some point, but we should only show coins here that we (or others) found “in circulation”, as title says. Buying sets or UNC coins does not count 😁

That's exactly why I asked before posting the coin:) However, I'm not talking about a coin in set or any special packaging, but a perfectly normal circulating 2€ coin exchanged for other coins at a face value at the counter of the Austrian National Bank. Such coins are minted for general circulation and the only reason why I didn't get it  in a supermarket (or a café for instance) was that I was only staying in Austria for a short time.

I won't have access to my collection for some time now, so I will try to post the picture as soon as I can. It's a common Austrian 2€ coin (standard version, not any commemorative one).

Thank you. It was not really a big issue, I didn't want to have my coin on the list at all costs, it was just not clear to me if the bank counter is considered circulation :)

Here's a photo of the Austrian 2€ I wrote about last week, sorry for the delay. I was exchanging 2 € worth of cent coins in the Austrian National bank (OeNB) and got this coin in exchange. The coin was just like in a picture when I got it, without any special packaging, exchanged at face value and I didn't specifically ask for this year/type. It's also a common denomination and type which can be found in circulation with many other years (all just for the clarification, as I have written before, my aim is not to argue here).

United States 25 Cents Ida B. Wells 2025-D – This is the 2nd time finding it. The first time was in my Mar. 15 quarter hunt.

My take on this is that unless they specifically went in the back and opened a fresh roll from the mint,  it likely counts.   The banks here typically have a mixture of rolls that are from the mints and rolls that the bank has re-rolled themselves that have come in from their customers.    

So there is no way to say that the coin didn't come back in from the supermarket and get given back out to you at the bank.

I received the P version last night in my change at the grocery store. No pictures, but I guarantee is looks just like this one, but with a P mint mark.

It's my first 2025 coin that I've received.

The list is up to date.

It’s been a little over a month since this started and only 10 coins are on the list

Thanks for the support. 😊 I didn't see where the cashier got the coin from, so I can't really say if it was from a roll provided directly by the mint or not.
I totally agree with you, one can't really say if such a coin is fresh from a roll or if it's already been in circulation for a short time (I'm starting to think I would have saved myself several comments if I just posted a coin right away without asking, as no one would tell the difference 😎).

Amazing! I have a friend going to Poland over the summer and I asked them if they could get me a complete 2025 set of Polish coins if they could. I hope they’re able to find them all.

I think it is a bit early to be getting a full set of 2025 coins.

Along with the 20gr, 2025, I got: 1gr, 5gr & 2 Zloty dated 2024, and a 2gr dated 2023. All were shiny new coins from the shop till change float.

Coin not mine, but I found a Facebook post stating that this Philippine 25 sentimo coin with the year 2025 in it has already been released, with the 2021 BSP seal. 

Got this in change today at an Aldi Supermarket in Southport, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. First one I have seen in circulation.

Greek 5 euro cents from a shop on Corfu

Australian Circulation 20 cent King Charles III - Platypus coin dated 2025.

Received in change at Woolworths Surfers Paradise, Queensland on 17/9/2025.

Just got a 100 Chilean pesos as a travel gift. Not the ordinary one but the commemorative of 100 years of the central bank: N#474034 .

Congratulations to your find, the mintage of these recent years of German 50 c is quite low (I have never found any beyond the years 2002-2004 myself).

Croatia 10 Euro Cent 2025 found in change in Tallinn,Estonia on vacatio last month. 

Poland 1 Grosz, 2025. Got it in change today, somewhere in Iława.

Amazing how they still use these tiny denomination coins - ¼ of a Euro Cent, or thereabouts. It must be one of the lowest intrinsic value coins currently circulating in Europe!

Got 2 more King Charles III 2025 1 pound coins in change today. 2 count as change. The others from the kind checkout lady that let me swap them out the till. Carrying pound coins on me at the moment for this reason now I know the new coins are around. 

Found two Vera Rubin quarters in my change a few days ago.

1 cent French side :

Poland 2 Złote. Got this at Gdansk airport yesterday.

Australian Circulation One Dollar King Charles III - Mob of Roos coin dated 2025.

Received in change at Coles Supermarket Pacific fair, Broadbeach, Queensland on 11/11/2025.

I've just got a few thailandese coins from a friend that returned from travel.

Among them, a 1 Baht coin with the year 2568 (2025).

Found in today's quarter hunt (there was a bunch of them): USA - 2025-D Stacey Milbern quarter

Finally found a 2025 coin of my country: Brazil 25 centavos.

Got it as change in the São Paulo subway.

Belgium : 10 cents and France : 2 cents.

Got a 5 cent Australian 2025 Coin in change today, 29th December, at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast.

That is  every Australian basic 2025 definitive denomination seen in circulation now except for the 10cent coin.

I finally encountered the first Czech coin dated 2025 - 10 Korun. Received as change at a post office in Prague two days ago.

Not sure if anyone has found one of these yet…

A friend brought it back for me last weekend.  Given out in his change in a shop in Johannesburg.
