Please somebody help me to identify coin shown below. I checked everywhere and no idea what it is. Is it Chinese / Hong Kong? And why square in the center is not empty?
Based on the second image it's not a coin. It would be useful if you could find someone who can read that side.
I am pretty sure it is not a coin. On the back is a name of a goldsmith company. The characters are to read from left to right.

ahkai is right, that's from a jewllery company (now also a “group” doing lots other business, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chow_Tai_Fook).
The Chinese characeters reads right to left (in this case although it's more common from left to right while displays horizontally).
It reads as a Commemorative token for a big sales.
