Bimetallic Composition Coins Bullion Value Calculations

Hello everyone!

I am not sure if this question/issue was brought up earlier, but I did not find it.

Some coins are composed of several precious metals, and Numista does not count their bullion value at the bottom of the page, or on My Coins page under “Actual silver/gold weight”.

Is it possible to add this feature to such coins, at least where the proportions and actual precious metal weight are known?

Yes, I have an official certificate from the Bank of Ukraine for a couple of those coins. 

It states there that the Fine Weight of the gold part is 5.74 g, and the silver part is 7.8 g.

We would have to introduce new fields for weight parts and calculate from there.

Right now the fine weight is calculated automatically by Numista with the total weight of an object and the given fineness.

But for segmented objects, what we call bi- or trimetallic, it is not possible to do so because we don't have the weights of the individual segments.

Can we have a field to enter the fine weight manually in such fringe cases?

 

As an example a 25 Euro niobium coin N#457938 

Right now we have a total weight of 16.50 g, but would need an additional 10 g outer segment + 6.5 g inner segment (in this specific case perhaps only the outer segment, since it is the only one with precious metal content) to reach the fine weight of 9.0 g silver.
