Hello everyone,

I just noticed this gold 1/6 ducat from 1669 being auctioned in the 46th online auction of Aurea Numismatika (see https://livebid.cz/en/auction/aurea_46ea/detail/8):

It is very similar to the variety described on the page N#154324, but some of the lettering on the reverse is different ("D.BVR.Et.SI" in stead of “D.B.E.SILE”).

The description on the auction page reads: “1/6 Dukát 1669 SHS, Vratislav, Hal.1546, […] 13 mm (0,57 g)”. It does have the SHS mintmark like the other variety and is minted in Breslau (= Vratislav).

I'm not really sure if the difference in lettering would mean this should be added as a completely new entry or just as a variety on the page above. In any case, I think this variety should somehow be mentioned.

Looking forward to your replies.

Best regards,

Gerebernus

It was not a variety, but different type. I have added it now (Bohemia is my soft spot :) ): N#408958
