Is there a specific time when the refresh runs? Like 1am to 2am European Time? Just interested so I can possibly avoid those times when logged on in Australia which would be 10am to 11am if that were the case.
Cheers Mike

The server load has been very high for the past couple of months, resulting in periods of slowness for the website. I made some adjustments today and I'll monitor in the next few days whether things have really improved or we need heavier changes.
14:50 UTC banknote images are taking (average) 62 seconds each to display.
Could you please clarify what you measured? That's not what I observe when I browse the banknote catalogue in general. Some pictures may have a high resolution and may take more time to download, but that's not necessarily related to the general slowness issue. Also, please note that images are served via a CDN (content delivery network), which caches images on a server close to your location. As a result, the time for the initial download might be different from the time for subsequent downloads.
This sounds extremely slow. You mean 95 seconds just to see the small picture on the linked page, not even to zoom in? Does anyone else experience something similar?
The full-size picture weights 1.7 MB, which may indeed take time to download if you have a slow connection. Do you mind sharing the results of this test to understand whether the issue is indeed related with that? https://www.speedtest.net/
That's a very tiny down compared to upload. If that is consistent you either are very far from your operator's broadband centralizer or something else is wrong with your connection.
All seems normal again, sorry for not checking this first. All else that I use seemed at normal speed--I don't view images outside of Numista so it was otherwise unnoticeable to me.
