This was a Western Sahara coin but now it's not in the catalog [解決]

Could I get an ID please.  Wish they didn't change the catalog so much.

Still here:N#4175

Nearly all Western Sahara coins were moved to exonumia last week.

Long short story, only a few commemoratives are considered official by the Polisario separatists and the rest are tokens.

But on the other side, in the dashboard map that area is now being coloured by Morocco.

Definitely non-circulating.

Moroccan Dirhams are legal tender in Western Sahara - but Algerian Dinars are used in the Polisario's camps in Algeria.

Aidan.

Of course is non-circulating as thousands of coins on the catalog.

But if is official or not, it is a huge polemic since we do not have enough reliable information for who can say the coin is made with consent of POLISARIO or not.

One Referee decided he will leave as exonumia because of an .pdf of another Referee.

In my humble opinion, If we are not 100% sure,

we should not move coins to exonumia which

are cataloged within the Krause catalog.

We should have the same criteria that have

with “notgelds” that are not considered "Exonumia"

Possibly these coins were official coinage in 1992

and now another faction for different reasons, ignores them.

For instance Wikipedia in arabic language

 suppouse are official CU-Ni coins:

Other languajes:

The only  evidence to send to exonumia was when Anton in his PDF said “some people I asked didn't knew about those coins in the POLISARIO camps”

And of course not. Most of people of my country do not even know all of our own circulating coins, what about the non-circulating!

By the way there is evidence that those coins (no problem call them tokens, but they should be in the main catalog) are well known from the Polisario front and they would use as gifts or to promote Western Sahaara; I am just trying to get an official letter about that. (strange that was not necessary to move to exonumia).

I agree. In these kind of cases,

It's  very important to have an official document

to send it to Exonumia and even more so if it appears

into the Krause catalogs as KM reference.
