Again, could you please identify this coin?

I thought at first, from the looks of the man on the obverse (front?), that it was a Russian coin.  But, the building on the reverse doesn't look Russian.  I am no expert though.  Thanks for the help.

Hello,

It is a 5 Baht coin from Thailand.

Regards
Aha you compared one of Russia's dictators to one of the best rulers in history?

This is your coin:

Thanks, elvis123.
You must know the letters to have known that it was a 5 baht.  The building looked oriental, so I looked up China but didn't find the coin.  But Thailand isn't China, even though both are far east.  Learn something new everyday.
Thanks, SmartOneKg.
I had to laugh at the mis-recognition.  But Russian dictator wasn't what I first thought.  Who was the Russian rebel who was the people's hero?  Can't remember his name.  Then again, he probably wouldn't be on a coin.
Is the year of the coin, 1992?   I did my best at matching the letters to the right of the Mintage list to the W. (etc) letters on the coin.  And I looked up Thailand's leader too.  Learned a bit of history while I was at it.

No pro, bro!

I can't read Thai and you're probably right, but, if you ever have a coin, especially from Asia that you are unsure about, send me a PM and I'll help you out.

Rama IX? Great leader. He cares about his people instead of being a dictator or a celebrity.

At the top of this page is Numisdoc section - and in there is Dates & Calendars.
Included is the above Thai calendar where you type in the coin numbers and it converts it.  :)

Thanks, SmartOneKg.
If ever I have any problem trying to read Thai, I'll let you know.   Yes, Rama IX is very unusual.  Not the stereotype for a politician nor government leader.

Thanks, tappanee.
I wasn't sure.  That helps to confirm what I have is a 1992.

Thanks, ZacUK.
That is quite a converter.  Good idea!

I've visited Thailand many times & recognized this one immediately!
SmartOneKg... I must remember that because I've got quite a few Asian coins I need to research.
Also, your comments regarding King Rama IX..
He's adored by his people and rightly so!
Thailand is an Absolute Monarchy however unlike other megalomaniac Kings, Rama IX is benevolent, kind & caring.
So much so, many Thai people have his picture up next to that of Buddha!

Aha nice of you to mention.

In Thailand, it is really bad manners to deface Thai coinage because it depicts the king. One of the few "true leaders" in this world.
