identification of the type of Delhi paisa Sher Shah Suri [解決]

Hello,

I'm Paul from Belgium.

Can you help me to identify the type of this coin?

weight : 20,31 gr
diameter : 23,5 mm

thickness : 6,4 mm
metal : copper

In the Numista catalogue, I can't find a coin with so many dots on the side with the transverse line (reverse).

I find this coin: https://www.marudhararts.com/e-auction/auction-no-24/lot-no-254/coins-of-india/sultanate-coins/delhi-sultanate/45-sher-shah-suri-ah945-952/1538-1545ad-/copper-paisa-coin-of-sher-shah-suri-of-delhi-sultanate-.html quite similar and with the same reference as https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces340165.html (GG D910).

Is it the same type? Does the number of dots determine one or an other variety?  Do you have an online reference for this type of coin?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Paul

Looking through Goron/Goenka at the numerous types of paisa coins of Sher Shah Suri, yours appears very similar to D929. It is described as no mint, NW type 1, minted in AH 950 and 951. Here are two examples from Zeno

Hello,

Thank you for your research.

Do you think that a new card should be made for this type which does not seem to be in the numista catalogue?

Sincerely,

Paul

Sure, if you're up for doing it.

OK…   I'll do that as soon as possible…

Sincerely,

Paul
