Why is the mintmark of Kazakhstan Mint "KMC"? Are these letters Cyrillic or Latin? What does this abbreviation stand for? And what does the "C" mean in it?
May be this abbreviation is just Cyrillic "КТС" with stylized "Т" (abbreviation from "Қазақстан теңге сарайы")?

As you value your life or your reason keep away from the moor.
KMD is correct but I don't know for what it stands either but we should exchange this logo with the current one (make it monochrome first of course) and change the address to http://en.kazmint.kz because the old link rotted away.

I am almost sure that these are Cyrillic letters, since this emblem is also found on relatively old coins of Kazakhstan (even before the transformation of the Kazakh alphabet from Cyrillic to Latin letters).

They are definitely Cyrillic because actual name of the country is Qazaqstan.

The mint´s name in Cyrillic was "Қазақстан теңге сарайы" or ҚTC. Cyrillic T is sometimes written as "m". So I suppose that the mintmark was ҚTC, not KMD.

As a native Russian speaker, I'll disagree. Although you're right that Cyrillic cursive T looks like an English m, it never looks like the one in the emblem. That's definitely an M.

I suppose it could be very stylized to fit in there, and I'm wrong. Never seen something like that though.
ДВОР = Court
So KMC = Kazakhstan Mint Court [presumably]

A mintmark in English? Impossible. Only Kazakh or Russian languages, both using Cyrillic fonts.
I tried doing a little more digging and ciscoins' explanation does seem like the most likely one so far. However, here's something weird. If you try to use" google translate" to translate the word "coin" into Kazakh, while the actual translation you get is "тиын", you also get a reference to "монета" - which is the same as in Russian, and starts with an M. Tenge is the name for their currency in general, so perhaps there's some discrepancy in the official name and the logo of their mint. It would be nice to get someone who speaks Kazakh in here to shed more light on what's what.

For better translation I use Wikipedia, not Google. Each page has links to similar pages in other languages including Kazakh. And the Kazakh page is named "Мәнет".

There you go. Maybe it's Қазақстан Мәнет Cарайы
Hello dears,
Yes, that's right. It is KMC - Қазақстан Мәнет Cарайы
I just got an email from marketing manager of Kazakhstan Mint.

best regards
