Portugal - 480 Reis - 1816

5 posts
Dear administration of Numista,

I'd like to know if it's possible to create the year "1816" without the error "VINECS" in coin from Porturgal with the KM#331, because she exists with and without error and the most common is the one without error?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Rui Mesquita
If it's a lettering error, we keep it.

Yes, you should keep the rare "1816" coin with the lettering error "VINECS".

What I'm asking you to create is the same "1816" coin but with the normal lettering "VINCES".

That's because unfortunately I have no coin with the error "VINECS", that worth 1.350,00 € in XF condition, but I have 7 coins without error, that worth just 70,00 €, which is a big difference, but I have no place where to register them.

I can show you one of my "1816" coins were you can see in the obverse the lettering "VINCES", and a page of one book where you can see that there are two kind of 400 Reis "1816" coins.

I hope you can now understand my problem.

Thank you very much, ZacUK, now the KM#331 from Portugal is 100% correct.
