Possibly old Italian Lira [解決]

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine inherited a coin collection and asked me to sell it. Most of the coins have been fairly easy to identify, but one has me stumped... it's in fairly poor condition but given that one side resembles https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces225655.html I am vaguely hopeful it might be quite old.

It weighs around 6g, 17mm diameter, and I don't know what the metal is. Unfortunately my friend has no idea about the provenance, but most of the coins it was stored with were 19th century French and Belgian (this is the only one in such poor condition too, so may be unrelated).

I'd be very grateful if anyone has any clue about what it might be, or could even just have a go at reading the Latin. Thanks!
Looks like a French jeton.

Maybe.

The side with the crown may have the Gothic lettering
AVE MARIA GRACIA
or similar.

Zac, I think you're right - thanks so much! Doesn't seem like they fetch much of a price online, but it's so cool I may buy it from him myself.
