I am having difficulties figuring this coin... the clincher being the (16) at the bottom of the obverse. Can anyone assist? Thanks! (The last two pics are the same coin as the original, only darker to assist with details).
Hi,
yes it is Ort Koronny : https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces170608.html
Your type is Kopicki 1271 1621
This type is quite rare = rarity R3 - 601–3000 pcs
Can you provide more details as weight etc? Im not sure if this coin is genuine as on reverse after letters SAM there is one dot and should be two. I have check other such coins and both have after SAM two dots https://wcn.pl/archive?q=ort+1621+1271

I have great doubts about the authenticity of this coin. I think it's a falsum.
It's definitely not a new mintage or imitation, the embossing is special. If the intention is to create a counterfeit coin, the weight, metal and size will be accurate -because it is a more expensive piece.
It seems to me like a big admixture of aluminum, maybe tin ( , maybe it's lighter than the original), Anyway, I have my doubts.
With such expensive coins, there is doubt - work for experts. So through the monitor difficult. Again, just my opinion and there is room for Specialists for this species- There is also the question of how much you paid.
I wish you good health and joy.
Ivan
Thanks, are you able to verify if this is silver ? The diameter and weight is correct. I found also the type with one dot after SAM. I think you should go to the specialist to verify as for me looks good. This coin is in really good condition(maybe too good ?) and the value could be nice 250$ and up. I keep my fingers crossed that this is an original coin.
