Glad you like it, dptashny.  8)

Nice coinage guys.

Here's a small sampling of the favorites from my collection.  Includes some notes.  There are others but didn't want to flood too much as I'm new here.  Enjoy.

Germany 1934 - 2 and 5 Reichsmark

One Troy Oz Silver Round - Error
The dealer did not want to give this up at all until I offered 2.5 times silver price.
One of those Had to Have It items - He hesitated big time.  Good thing I was a regular!

Those are some really awesome coins and notes!

I've never seen that before- an error silver bullion coin. Really cool.

Diego, do you use a template to print the details on the 2x2's?  Self made or commercial?

I just picked this one up, hidden in an ebay lot.

Wrong coin. That's a 3 Reichsmark.

If it was a duplicate entry I'd recommend that the old photo be replaced. That is a really beautiful coin.

Ah, sorry.

It's okay. The Germans should apologize for writing Zwei, Drei, and Funf instead of 2, 3, and 5 on their coins. It confuses me sometimes too.

I use a Brother label-maker.  My OCD does the rest.  I give this treatment to my better coins that are deserving, or ask me nicely. :)

I was wondering the same thing as Phil. I tried to use a movable type, rubber stamp kit, but it was way to labor intense.

You have trouble with the German ones, I have trouble with the Asian ones! We should compare notes :-)

Only time is gets more tedious is when I have to use a 50 Cent 2x2. I have to trim the tops and bottoms of the label to fit or it overlaps the window all fugly like.  Then there's the Ike dollar holder 2x2.  I have to trim them in half so 1 line fits above/below.  But still they come out way better than my handwriting.

One Troy Oz Silver Round - Error
That's a truly superb mis-strike...I wonder how it managed to make it into circulation
I think this is one of my favourites and it wasn't very expensive. Just goes to show you, that you can have a quality collection, even on a student allowance budget :)  ...

Quality over quantity, I try my best not to buy low grade, cleaned or environmentally damaged coins, especially in bulk.
Sadly don't have a pic now but I have a 1913 2 mark Prussia that's MINT

To elaborate on this beauty...

The dealer (Redmond Rare Coins in Kirkland, WA) said he bought a bunch of silver rounds and bars off a guy.  This was in one of the rounds tubes and was a bit snug to get out.  He didn't think the owner ever opened it(?). Who knows.  Anyway, he had it behind the counter with a sign that said "Not for sale! Don't ask!" He saw me always come back to look at this thing every time I came to his shop.

Finally I said "Sorry bud, I gotta ask because you have that sign there." He said it wasn't for sale.  I made my offer, about 2.5 times spot price.  His reply was "OK, I know it's going to a good home."

He mentioned in the conversation that he thinks these rounds were hand fed into the machine for striking.  Who knows.

Probably the most stoked I've ever been walking out of a coin shop.  :D

I say it would be this one

I just picked up this one -- it's a neat coin, super thick and heavy, and pretty clear for 1873.

Wow, those are some neat coins!

My latest - I think it could be my new favourite. I've been looking for a British coin with the Hannover CoA on :)
