I've bought an US One Dollar 1803 coin today at a flea market in nürnberg (Germany).
Wher and who can give me an ideia about the value of this coin?

Welcome to Numista. Please always provide as much information as you can so Numista members can better help you with your questions. This would include weight, diameter, composition, etcetera. I do not believe it to be authentic.

It would over $500, even in that condition (G-4 since you can't read the "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the ribbon on the back [2003 Red Book is the closest thing I have handy]), if it is genuine. I'm not sure what the others see that casts doubt on authenticity, but I will defer, as that era isn't my interest exactly. I would like to know what they see for the sake of learning.
Can you try another photo under white light? The lighting gives it a very non- silver look.
looks like one of the many copies/replicas

In my opinion, assume it is fake unless proven otherwise. Without exact weight and size, it is hard to tell, but the images do not look promising.
Thanks....I´ll see where I can find to weight and measure them.....
Don't bother

That coin looks like a fake steel replica. Flea markets are the worst places to buy such things.
Let me guess the vendors were Chinese and it cost like 10 Euros.

Can you seriously think a coin that rare would be sold in a flea market?
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

I've tried different angels and the last 7 pics are made with zoom (galaxy note 10 +)
Thank you
The rim is wrong

The shape is wrong

The 3 in the date is even more wrong

Looks like silver plated nickel or manganese fake from CHINA!

It should have lettering around the edge and not reeded.

You need to be more respectful. If you have nothing constructive to offer, then don't comment at all. We are here to learn. If something is obviously fake, you can say it politely, not the way you have done it.

I don't make the rules, I just reinforce them.

I find my tough approach works well on the trolls, but I soften it for the truly naive.
This person knew this coin was a fake, no one with an IQ over 70 would honestly think
they could pick up such a rare coin for a cheap price at a flea market.

Flea Markets are notorious for counterfeit, fake and low quality merchandise.
This person started this thread to get a rise.

If anything I have noticed the quality of threads has improved in the past few days as trolls
are getting the message.

However I will refrain from making any comments unless positive.

Wasn't there also a profile where someone was posting Chinese fakes so they could improve the quality of their forgeries?

I have suspected so on several occasions.
