Son of Boleslaus II, Ulrich (Oldřich in Czech) was duke of Bohemia from 1012 to 1033, when he was deposed by his brother Jaromír, and then again briefly in 1034, after Jaromír was deposed and blinded. During his reign, Ulrich subdued Moravia (then administered by Polish duke Bolesław I the Brave) and incorporated it into Bohemian state.
