The Isle of Man circulation 1 Penny coins issued till 1995 were made from bronze. With a new sport series issued from 1996, the alloy for 1 Penny changed to copper plated steel which is magnetic. However, the magnetic version of 1995 old type coins (Precision Tools) are reported to be found in circulation:
