表面
(en) Boar right, straight bristles on back, tail not curly, solid right legs (outer, nearest viewer), bifurcated left legs, no spear in shoulder. Double pellet in annulet in large ring of pellets above. Pellet in annulet above and below head. Spiral behind.
Reverse
(en) Horse left, spiky mane with bar through it, long ears, short fern tail. Large pelletal sun (anemone, solar rosette, ringed pellet inside ring of pellets) above. Double pellet in ring in front. Annulet with either one or two pellets inside below. Pellet exergual line.

Rich Type 12, ‘Spilsby Stag’, intermediate period:
Rich Type 12a: 7 on CCI (2 obverse, 2 reverse dies). One obverse die from Type 11b. Annulet below horse contains two pellets; no dashes below exergual line. This is Chris Rudd's ‘Spilsby Stag with Torcs’ (Chris Rudd List 155, 16 October 2017, lot 19).
Rich Type 12b: 2 on CCI (2 obverse, 2 reverse dies). One obverse die from Type 12a. Annulet below horse contains one pellet; dashes below exergual line.
The intermediate period horse always has a fern tail.
