In 2005, the 60th anniversary of the nuclear industry was widely celebrated in Russia. It is symbolic that by decision of the UN, the year was declared the "Year of Physics", as if in unison with the anniversary, because Rosatom's scientific institutes continue fundamental research in various fields of physics, including nuclear physics. In honor of the festive date, the Moscow Mint is issuing a series of medals "The Nuclear Industry of Russia. 1945 - 2005".
The set consists of five silver medals of 925 assay value, on the front side of which the main memorable dates and objects of the nuclear industry are indicated, on the back - the name of the nuclear agency in different years of its activity.
