(en) "TPAΠEZA THΣ EΛΛAΔOΣ" overprinted on the obverse of the note. The note is dated 05 October 1926, but was issued in 1928 with overprint; the original note was never issued.
Specimen notes with the original bank name and without overprint were made for the National Bank of Greece, but no notes were issued as such. All issued notes and specimens made for the Bank of Greece contain the overprint of the new bank name.
Some remainder notes do exist, with a cancellation punched through the right signature. They likely unintentionally escaped into circulation before being overprinted, or were salvaged and were attempted to be used as a regular banknote.
